Health and safety fair 2019

Special thank you to all of the participants in the Health and Safety Fair! This was held on June 15th and we had a great time at this years event. Elica Health Centers had their mobile unit come out for free glucose and blood pressure screenings. North Valley Indian Health and CommuniCare Clinic also participated in providing free health information and services to our community members and we cannot thank them all enough for their services and support of our market! Make sure you check out their websites, which are linked below, to find out more about the services they offer every day!

The Woodland Police Department, The Woodland Fire Department, and The California Highway Patrol also helped make this day a huge success. Not only did they provide necessary safety reminders and information to the adults but they allowed the kids explore their vehicles and firetrucks which brought so much added joy and excitement to the day. Thank you to everyone who participated this year and if you are interested in participating in future events please contact us through the Contact tab at the top of our webpage!

Our partner Master Gardeners will be hosting a Kitchen Gardening class from 11-12 the final Saturday of every month at Woodlands Edible Learning Garden. The monthly basic areas will be fruit trees, vegetables, edible flowers, herbs and berries.  Their topics will include what to plant, prune, feed, harvest at that time of year.  In addition to a gardener's "corner" teaching about seed saving, tools etc. Our goal is to teach people how to have something edible in their garden year round! Check out more information on this event and the Master Gardeners here.

How to become an Advertising Sponsor for the Woodland Farmers Market

As of 2012 the Woodland Farmers Market has been a 5013c non-profit organization which means your money goes right back into your community through our events.

By becoming a sponsor of The Woodland Farmers Market, you not only get a tax deduction, you also get the satisfaction of supporting a non-profit organization that is encouraging our local community to become healthy. Because we offer locally grown produce, educational opportunities for adults and kids, economic viability for local farmers, health and nutritional education and support for other non-profit organizations, your support of The Woodland Farmers Market is benefiting your entire community.

The Woodland Farmers’ Market wants to help give families a reason to come to Downtown Woodland on Saturday morning. This is a place where families and friends can meet every Saturday morning and enjoy our awesome historic downtown area and have access to some locally grown fresh produce. We are truly a local farmers market which is another reason why you should join this project and show support for your local farmer by becoming one of our advertising partners/sponsor.

Depending on the advertising package you select, your business will be associated with all of the events at the market. Your business will be featured on The Woodland Farmers Market web site, flyers, ads, posters and banners. Your ad that will be displayed on our web site will get a lot of visitors seeing your connections with this local community event. Being associated with The Woodland Farmer’s Market is a great way to access new customers or clients that live here in our community. Remember, tax deductions are nice, but knowing where that money is going is even better!
